Days and Nights in Newquay
Events, activities, whats on at the moment

Without starting to sound like the tourist board, Newquay is, simply put, just a great place to live. And it’s getting better. The town is being regenerated as part of a big inward investment programme.
The Newquay Action Framework, jointly funded by the South West Regional Development Agency, Restormel Borough Council and English Partnerships which launched in 2004, is an ambitious plan for both the private and public sector to engage in Newquay's development as the Surf Capital of the UK. It’s reconnecting Newquay with its stunning seafront by providing vastly improved access to the town's beaches, increasing the quality of its buildings and retail centre, and creating a variety of new public spaces, pedestrian areas and better transport links from the rest of the country.
Rocklands is just six miles from Newquay’s airport which in turn is just 45 minutes’ flying time from London. Something to think about to make the week go that little bit quicker.
Try a stroll to the harbour and buy some fresh fish from the fishermen. You'll see their boats anchored waiting to get into the harbour on a low tide
Or if you're feeling more adventurous, try a chartered boat trip out to sea to catch your own for dinner.

>>> Surfing
Beginners can try a lesson at the Animal Surf school on Tolcarne beach. Expert? Try the cribbar breaking off Fistral point on a big swell or ask the locals about small breaks up the coast.
